Adirondack Journey
Peak View Ratings
Rating the views from the peaks is like deciding how much you
love each of your kids. I don't like to do it as it implies bad things
about peaks that have so many other fine attributes.
The black
ratings are ours.
The red ratings are the consensus of the Forty-Sixers
organization and can be found in more detail in their excellent resource on
the Adirondacks, "Of the Summits, of the Forests" © 1991, Fort
Orange Press, Albany, NY.
The blue ratings are by James R. Burnside taken from his seminal work, "Exploring
the 46 Adirondack High Peaks" © 1996, 1998 High Peaks
Press, Schenectady, NY.
